‘Sa sem’ (沙参/Glehnia root)

‘Yug juk’ (玉竹/Polygonatum odoratum)
INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1:
Prepare ingredients:
- Rinse all dried fruits and Chinese herbs.
Step 2:
Simmer the broth:
- Place rinsed dried fruits and herbs in a pot, and add Swanson Chicken Broth and water.
- Simmer until broth is well-flavoured (approx. 30 minutes).
- Stir in Shaoxing wine after simmering to preserve its aroma and flavor.
Step 3:
Cook the chicken:
- Add chicken pieces to the broth and cook until tender.
Step 4:
Serve:
- Serve hot with a ladle of broth and chicken in each bowl.
TIP:
- Add Shaoxing wine last. Adding it too early may cause the wine flavour to evaporate.
